The Efficient Green Plane
Not only cars and motorcycles which race to become green but also plane. The team led by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have designed a green plane 70% more fuel efficient than regular plane. Not only that, as reported www.sciencedaily.com site, Tuesday (19 / 5), this plane is also lower in sound pollution and emission of nitrogen dioxide (NOx).
With support from NASA, MIT team made two planes design which basically highlight configuration technology airframe, propulsion system that can be applied to drivers that can be applied to commercial plane. The team hoped the ‘Green Plane’ can be aired in 2035.
NASA also wants the team that won a contract from the agency to make a plane that can fly from a short runway. There are six teams that continue to develop The Efficient Green Plane.
